Background & History of Larmil Business Services:

Larmil Business Services was started in the early 1980's by Larry
Noah and his wife, Mildred. 'LAR' + 'MIL' was a name chosen for the
new service. Mildred has since retired due to disability, but still gives
tremendous moral support to the staff and crew.
In 1984 Larry passed the Special Enrollment Exam (SEE) of the
Internal Revenue Service. This passing and extensive background
searching earned him the designation of 'Enrolled Agent' (EA). An EA
is allowed to represent taxpayers before the IRS at any level including
appeals. The SEE is a two day exam given only once a year
simultaneously at various locations in the country. It is an extensive
four part exam on taxation and tax law. Larry had one of the highest
scores in the country the year he passed.
Enrolled Agents are required to have 72 hours of (IRS approved)
continuing professional education in each three year renewal period.
Larry's daughter, Caroline, began working part-time in the business as
a young teen. As the business grew and began to expand into payroll
and bookkeeping Caroline became more interested in the business.
Caroline came into the business full time and now handles payroll;
business taxes; and office management.
In 1988 Larmil Business Services moved to their present location on
U.S. Highway 24 in Independence. They occupy two suites in a strip
center at the intersection of 24 Highway and Liberty Street. You can

Larmil has participated in the Electronic Filing program for a number of
years. This currently includes Federal and most states. Electronic
Filing has become the company's default way of filing. They do not
charge any extra for Electronic Filing. They do NOT participate in the
'Refund Anticipation Loan' program. This program is known by various
names similar to "Fast Refund".
Although the scope of service has expanded from the early days, the
bulk of Larmil's service is with individual income tax returns. The
addition of the business services allows them to maintain regular
office hours all year. They are always available for income tax
problems and questions.
